About Our Pastor
Elder Veronica Goodman
Pastor Veronica Goodman accepted Christ at a very early age at her home church, New Piney Wood Chapel Baptist Church in Gates North Carolina. Her early years were spent in ministry through music as a member of the Goodman Family Singers. During her formative years she was a member and officer of the Junior Missionary Society, the Youth on the Move Ministry, and working with her mother in ministry in several choirs around Gates County and Virginia. Her first message was as a twelve year old from Ecclesiastes 12:1, “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth”.
Elder Goodman is the daughter of the late Rev. Carroll C. Goodman and Mrs. Eva Alleine Goodman. She is a native of Gates County, North Carolina and attended the Gates County Public Schools. Pastor Goodman labors in the vineyard for Christ on an on-going basis. She believes that only what she does for Christ will last. She is a born again, spirit-fed, Bible-led evangelistic pastor-preacher, born of God, engrafted into Christ and is a habitation of the Holy Spirit. She is not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is steadfast and committed to her faith and stands on the Word of God.
Pastor Goodman is the founder and Director of Women of Worship (WOW) ministries. She also founded the Voices of Healing Youth Choir at Healing Temple, the Dive Deeper Bible Study Class, and the Helping Hands Ministry. She served as lead Pastor at Healing Temple Church in Portsmouth, VA under the leadership of Bishop John R. Savage. She
currently resides in Gates, North Carolina. She holds degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies, Christian Education and Religion and stands on the following scripture as her guiding principle: Matthew 28:19-20—Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
